Feghouli Coming good
I thought Feghouli was looking great in the 15 mins before the sending off.

He was linking really well with Antonio making 1 - 2s up the wing and getting on goal
Made a lovely back heel pass that showed real skill and had me really anticipating some excellent football especially as we kind of controlled the opening minutes.

I expect the red card to be cancelled and hope to see more starts for Feghouli

You're not allowed positive posts on here complimenting players, so you'll have your own red card coming your way from a mod shortly.

Re: Feghouli Coming good
15mins isn't really a huge amount of time to judge him but i liked his work ethic and desire.

sadly his shitty touch led him into the tackle that got him sent off....... i hope the heavy touch is less of an indicator.

He's a good player. We haven't seen the best of him yet.

Yep I back his ability - he clearly has plenty.

his latest appearances off the bench have been generally positive too

Re: Feghouli Coming good
A lot of players need time to settle, plus he has been playing in a team devoid of confidence since he joined and has obviously also been injured. With these things considered I'd be happy to give him until at least the end of the season, perhaps longer, to see how he fares when we are on a decent run.

I think he's shown promise in patches since the summer when actually fit and in the team. Certainly streets better than Tore, which admittedly isn't difficult.

Would be great to give him a little run in the team to see what he can do now he looks fit and healthy and the AFCON gives him a decent chance to- provided that stupid card is overturned.

Playing in or missing those three games could define his West Ham career.

Lets be honest any decent performances from him between now and the end of the season are more in hope than expectation

Re: Feghouli Coming good
Not for me- I expect decent performances. He may have been a free transfer but he's got decent pedigree and I think given time he'll be a good performer in this league.

Give him a chance to show what he can do injury free with significant playing time in a team that isn't playing like a bunch of total fucking clowns. He's had far too little meaningful playing time to be written off.

Worth remembering Monday's game was his first start in the league, his opportunities have been so limited.

Re: Feghouli Coming good
Looked sharp early on which makes Dean's cuntery even more diabolical.
Looks a player who is better if we move the ball quickly as he was involved in a couple of good passing movements.
Lanzini and Obiang passed and moved and there was less of the turgid crab play of most earlier games.

ES

i hear you...but few of our good signings start off poor then blossom. If they are good they hit the ground running. Lets not forget he did start the season as first choice RW and was absolutley dreadful.

Even monday people saying 'he started well' then he lunged into a tackle when he didnt need to and got sent off

El Scorchio 1:37 Wed Jan 4
Re: Feghouli Coming good
He did start well. And wouldn't have been sent off 99% of the time. Just extremely unlucky and the victim of a snide oppo player and a shit ref.

He's looked like a player getting used to new surroundings and in a new league. Needs a proper chance. He's shown so much more than Tore or Zaza did. I think there's definitely hope with him.

Let's not write him off until he's actually started a run of games.

Rossal

either your knowledge of west ham is dreadful or, as usual, you type stuff to make a point without actually knowing whether you're right or not.

He did NOT start the season off as first choice RW.

Re: Feghouli Coming good
he looked sharper for sure and perhaps benefited from teh ball being moved around in midfield a lot quicker? But until a player has a good run of (at least 5 ), its still too early to say IMO.

Re: Feghouli Coming good
I fully agree with the original post.

Sharp and determined off the ball and some good play on the ball until he got sent off. As long as he keeps working hard when he plays he will be an asset to us.

I'd like to see him, payet and lanzini as a three behind the striker a little more often

Just hope the sending off doesn't make him think twice about challenges, working hard etc...
